The Backeddy Pub is a dream come true for us. For Brennan, owning a pub has always been the goal, shaped by over a decade in the service industry in Vancouver and a deep love for bringing people together over good food and drink. When the chance came to move back home to Castlegar—closer to family, friends, and community—it felt like the right moment to make that dream a reality.
We took over a space with a rich past, transforming a former fine dining restaurant into a cozy, inviting pub, filled with stunning European stained glass, raw timber, and plenty of character. Our food is elevated pub fare, made in-house with care by our incredible Head Chef, Cheyenne and kitchen team, and inspired by the kind of comfort dishes you’ll keep craving.
